Focus on Nutrition

stay hydrated photo of water bottle and sidewalk in urban areaMarch was National Nutrition Month, but we should be mindful of our nutrition year round! In addition to maintaining a balanced diet, it’s also important to stay hydrated, especially when incorporating physical activity in your daily routine. Utilizing local trails and paths in your area is a great way to get out and soak up the fresh air. Carry a water bottle with you to avoid dehydration.

Here are 5 benefits to staying hydrated:

1.     Helps with digestion

2.     Keeps joints, tissues and cartilage lubricated to help prevent injury

3.     Maintains healthy blood levels

4.     Helps prevent against muscle fatigue and maintains muscle movement

5.     Helps transport oxygen and nutrients throughout the body
