Congratulations to Lorraine St. Clair (center) from our North Haven Extension office! She was a finalist for this year’s Behind the Scenes UConn Spirit award for her continued contributions. Thank you, Lorraine, we appreciate everything you do!!

We submitted the following about Lorraine:

Lorraine works quietly but diligently to keep our office operations running like a well-oiled machine. While working full-time, she completed her bachelor’s degree to further enhance her abilities in office management. During the pandemic, she kept the operations functioning well. She also started an extensive process to identify new cleaning services, which was interrupted during the pandemic, but preserved and on boarded an excellent cleaning service. Lorraine does not drive, but faithfully takes the public bus to the office, maneuvering through bus transfers in not only good weather but rain, sleet and snow. Never drawing attention, she works steadily behind the scenes to make sure the office operations from budgets to staff/faculty/volunteer support to maintenance run smoothly. Lorraine helps our office to literally and figuratively shine as well as being a friendly voice and personae to address needs and concerns of the public citizens who rely upon the New Haven County Extension Outreach Education and Services.
