CT ECO includes a variety of online maps and tools for viewing Connecticut’s environmental and natural resources as well as high resolution aerial imagery, elevation data, and land cover.

The mission of 4-H is to assist all youth ages 5-18 in acquiring knowledge, developing leadership and life skills while forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of their families and communities.


Extension Training

Our Master Gardeners can answer your home horticulture questions and provide information on gardening topics. We also offer courses that are open to anyone, and you can apply to become a certified Master Gardener through our program.

The Land Use Academy (LUA) provides practical education for local land use decision makers in Connecticut. LUA focuses on the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to serve effectively on a local land use commission. 

The UConn Environment Corps, or E-Corps, was created to provide assistance to the communities of Connecticut while providing undergraduates with real world experience and workforce training. Currently there are classes focused on brownfields redevelopment, climate resilience, and stormwater management. 

The Solid Ground program offers a mix of in-person and virtual trainings each fall/winter for new farmers. Trainings cover agricultural mechanics, agroecology, mental health & wellness, and more. Additional peer-to-peer learning opportunities are offered by project partners, including New CT Farmer Alliance, CT Northeast Organic Farming Association, Land For Good, and IGotNextCoalition.
